Horse cart trek
(2.5 km south of Siem Reap town)

Take advantage of the afternoon crossing the green paddy fields in a three seat horse cart, custom designed for your comfort.
The horses are Cambodian ponies, still used nowadays to carry cargo (rice, bananas, straw…)
Along the red trails you will pass through small villages, each with their own unique skills (handicrafts, boat making, metalwork...). From time to time you will walk through villages to visit a painted pagoda, local shops, a school and learn how to make local baskets with village women.
During your trip you will receive information concerning flora, useful plants and you will discover the seasonal farming activities.
Wherever you pass by, you can see the smiles and warm welcome of local people.

Departure at 15.30 pm and return at 17.30 pm, or from 7.30 am to 9.30 am

Buffalo and oxen cart trek

Experience trekking with an ox or buffalo cart ride to visit the beauty of the surrounding landscape, along the way discovering seasonal farming methods and other daily activities of local people. The cart is custom designed for your comfort with mat, pillows and roof made from palm leaves.
Walk through rural communities, meet local families, learn mat weaving and making traditional palm-leaf cakes boxes.
During your trip you will receive information concerning flora, including useful wild and home-grown plants.
Your visit ends at the local market to see the diversity of fresh countryside products.

Walking tour in the countryside

This 7 km walk gives you an intimate glimpse of rural areas as you wind through picturesque villages and vast green paddy fields. Meander along tiny paths beside white lotus ponds and charming villages.
Discover the local pagoda, shops, school and meet local families, with plenty of opportunity ask them about themselves, with your guide as translator. Along the way you will learn much about seasonal farming activities, rural living conditions and social issues.
